- Find a local testing-only site in the community or use an at-home testing kit. Click on this to find local testing- only sites in your area.
- Families should continue to use the emergency room for emergencies. Please do not come to the emergency room for a COVID-19 test.
- Before bringing your child to the emergency room "ask yourself if this can wait." If you are unsure, consider calling your primary care provider.
- Typical symptoms of COVID are:
- Coughing
- Runny Nose
- Sore throat
- Body aches
- Headache
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
COVID symptoms can usually be managed at home with medications. Acetaminophen or ibuprofen can help with fever and pain. Encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids. It is okay if they do not have an appetite.
If at least one person in the family tests positive for COVID, and others in the home are sick as well, you should assume everyone has COVID and should stay at home for 10 days from the start of symptoms.
